Important information on toxins when trying to lose weight or just feel better

Do you want to lose weight more easily, feel less tired and bloated and have more energy? Try reducing the level of toxins in your body. 

Toxins are stored in your fats cells, so when you lose weight the toxins seep into your system from these cells. This is why you can feel tired and lethargic especially on low fat diets. To compensate - your body tries to hold onto these fat cells to store these toxins...and the cycle continues. To break this cycle and help you lose weight more efficiently, try to limit consumption from the list below:

  • Sugar
  • Processed foods (including diet varieties) 
  • Fizzy drinks (including diet varieties) 
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Alcohol
  • Excess caffeine 

I'm not saying to avoid this list completely, just to limit the amount you consume to ensure you feel better and aid your weight loss goals. Sam

Xercise4Less won the 2012 Budget Gym of the Year Award at the National Fitness Awards. These guys certainly know the right gym to train when up North!

Well done to Lucie who deadlifted an awesome 80kg for 8 reps after only 3 weeks of training this exercise! She's gunning for 100kg for reps by the end of November, with a body weight of of only 60kg.

Who says girls should lift only light weights!?

Ladies - do you have problems when trying to tone-up your legs and bum? Well this is an excellent and often overlooked exercise.

The starting phase of the lift involve mainly the leg muscles. The lockout phase of the lift requires a strong contraction of glutes or your bum muscles working really hard!

Try it - just keep your butt down, back flat and head up like my client Emma - who did a perfect set of 8 reps with 65kg!
